Vandana Karani shows you hot to make sweet sour cluster beans / khathi mithi guvar. Ingredients 1. Filtered Water 2. 1 large potato - diced 3. Cluster Beans - 2 cups 4. Cooking Oil - 1 tbsp 5. Pinch of Asafoetida 6. Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp 7. Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp 8. Green Chillies finely chopped - to taste 9. 1 whole dry red chillie 10. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp 11. Iodized salt - to taste 12. Nutrilite Protein Powder - 1 tbsp 13. Granulated Sugar - 2 tbsp 14. Tamarind Pulp - 1/3 cup 15. Red Chillie Powder - to taste Method 1. Turn the stove on medium heat 2. In a pressure cooker, add water 3. Steam the potatoes and beans for 5 to 6 min. Do not whistle the pressure cooker. Check the pressure, turn off the stove and set aside the pressure cooker. 4. Turn on the stove on medium heat. 5. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non stick pan. 6. Add asafoetida and mustard seeds. 7. Once mustard seeds crackle, add cumin seeds, green chillies and whole dry red chillie 8. Stir fry the spices the in oil. 9. Add the steamed potatoes and cluster beans. 10. Coat the vegetables with spices. 11. Add turmeric powder, salt and nutrilite protein powder. 12. Mix all these ingredients well. 13. Cook the vegetable on low heat for 3 - 4 min after covering the pan with lid. 14. Check the vegetable after 4 min. 15. Add sugar and tamarind pulp. 16. Mix all the ingredients well. 17. Adjust sugar and tamarind pulp to taste. 18. Cover the pan with lid and cook the vegetable till the tamarind pulp evaporates. 19 ...
